Our choreographic works and productions from 2021 to 2024:

SHEDDING WOMANHOOD

EMBRACE ME WITHOUT FORM

Coming in 2025, Shedding Womanhood is an innovative and original production that reimagines the timeless traditions of Indian classical dance through gender perspective. This exciting new work blends the sacred and the contemporary, creating a dynamic experience that speaks to both the rich history of the art form and its vibrant future.
Drawing from the beauty of Odissi, and the power of Kalaripayattu, this production presents a fresh narrative that celebrates both tradition and transformation. It seeks to weave together the ancient and the modern, exploring themes of connection, identity, and transcendence. An immersive journey that will captivate audiences and invite them to explore the depth and beauty of Indian classical dance, Indian martial arts and contemporary dance. We began creating and choreographing this new performance in October 2024 during an artistic residency in Faenza (RA) and the composition process will continue to 2025.

IN MY BODY

SITE-SPECIFIC DANCE PERFORMANCE

“In My Body” is the site-specific performance created by Dance In-It, presented in different spatial and architectural contexts. It shows the dialogue between several performative languages with ancient tradition (Odissi dance-theater and the martial art Kalaripayattu), with a more contemporary flavor and experimental character.
Its first version was created in May 2024 as part of the Festival Aria, curated by the University of L’Aquila, and was performed in the historic spaces of Palazzo Camponeschi, L’Aquila.

NATYAMRITA

NECTAR OF DANCE

A journey through the traditions and spirituality of India, Natyamrita is a showcase that celebrates the beauty and depth of Indian classical dance. With a fusion of grace, technique, and storytelling, this performance brings to life traditional choreographies inspired by various schools and styles of Indian dance.
Each movement, each gesture, and every expression tells a story, an emotion, deeply rooted in the mythology and culture of India. The performance explores the richness of the diverse dance traditions that have fascinated and inspired generations.
We invite the audience to embark on a visual and emotional journey, celebrating the beauty and sacredness of dance, and rediscovering the stories and traditions that continue to live through movement. A must-see opportunity to connect with one of the world’s oldest and most captivating art forms.
We performed Natyamrita in Chianni in 2021 for the first time and in Milan at Pacta, Salone dei Teatri.
